SEMINAR ON SELF-MANAGEMENT FOR GROUP INSURANCE

ATTENTION: Hôtel Alt – Quartier DIX30 is located at 6500 de Rome Blvd. in Brossard, near the Étoile concert hall.

Roger Grondin, VP Operations at Segic and an actuary by training, will share his experience with self-management and fair insured value for group insurance plans.

Labour unions have a strong desire to take charge of their group insurance plans in order to control costs, manage their own health data and improve the services they provide to their members. Financial pressures, new technologies and the rise of Generation X and the Millennial generation have disrupted the conventional group insurance model. There is now a strong trend toward group health.

This training session will help participants:

  • Learn about self-management and fair insured value for the Quebec market
  • Understand how this management model can become a strategic negotiating tool
  • Determine fair insured value by identifying what truly needs to be insured
  • Explore how to implement a group health program, made possible by self-management
  • Discover the savings and benefits enabled by the self-management and group health model

Note: the training session will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on December 5, and will be followed by lunch.
