Participant and Administrator Portal Terms of Use
Purpose
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the plan members portals, administrator portals and other secure environments made available by Solutions Segic inc. They are in addition to any contractual agreement, policy, supplemental notice or documentation applicable to a client, partner, sponsor, administrator, participant or other authorized user.
Access and security
Users must use their access credentials personally and securely, protect their login details, maintain the confidentiality of their passwords, notify Segic without delay of any unauthorized access or suspected compromise, and refrain from any activity that could compromise the security, integrity or availability of the portals.
Authorized use
The portals may only be used for purposes authorized by Segic, the client or the applicable documentation. In particular, it is prohibited to use the portals for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes, to attempt to access unauthorized information or features, to extract data in bulk, to circumvent security measures, or to use portal content or data contrary to applicable rights and permissions.
Sensitive information
The portals may contain or process highly sensitive information, including plan members profiles, financial, banking, medical, health, claims, eligibility or coverage information. Users must exercise heightened vigilance, restrict access to authorized persons and comply with all contractual, professional and legal obligations applicable to such information.
Notice regarding artificial intelligence
Plan members and administrator portals may integrate artificial intelligence functionalities, including generative artificial intelligence (“gIA”) AI guide., notably for assistance, search, summarization, recommendation, drafting support, operational support or user experience improvement purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, such functionalities are assistance tools and do not replace human validation, the exercise of professional judgment, or verification of information before any decision, action, communication or operational processing.
Rules for using gIA
Users undertake not to submit information from the portals to any unauthorized external AI tool, particularly where the information is sensitive or confidential. Users must verify the accuracy, relevance and suitability of any GenAI-generated content, report to Segic any result that is clearly erroneous, inappropriate or potentially harmful, and comply with the limits, warnings and instructions displayed in the portal. Segic reserves the right to modify, suspend or restrict access to any AI functionality based on legal, operational, contractual or security requirements.
Responsibility and limitation
To the extent permitted by law and subject to obligations that cannot be excluded, Segic does not guarantee that the portals or AI functionalities will be available at all times, error-free or suitable for every specific use. Users remain responsible for their use of the portals, the protection of their access credentials and the validation of information used in their activities.
Suspension, amendement and contact
Segic may suspend or restrict access to the portals in the event of non-compliant use, security risk, operational necessity or any other situation justifying such measure. Segic may also amend these Terms by publishing an updated version. Any question regarding these Terms or the protection of personal information in the portals may be sent to legal@segic.ca.
